Your teacher:

Hey, I’m Sini (she/her), a certified yoga teacher (RYT-500, hatha, vinyasa and yin) and a coach for highly sensitive people (HSPs) and introverts. My mission is to help HSPs and introverts feel more calm, energised and balanced so they can pursue the kind of meaningful life deep down they know they are meant to.

I use many tools in my work but I’ve found yin yoga to be one of the most powerful ones, especially for HSPs. Yin yoga is a calm style of yoga — it allows us to release our emotions and feel more grounded because of the energetic effects that happen in our body’s meridians and in our fascia. Yin yoga holds a type of magic that I'm excited to share with you, and I hope you can experience, too!

 Your questions answered:

Q: I haven’t practised yoga before and I am not flexible, can I enrol on this course?

A: Yes, this course is for all levels and you don’t need any prior experience in yoga (yin or other styles). You also don’t need to be flexible (it is not the point of yin yoga) - although this course will definitely help you improve your flexibility! The course contains step-by-step video tutorials on all the yin yoga poses as well as various practice classes.

Q: How much time do I need to allocate for this course?

A: This is a self-paced course and you can do it at your own pace, depending on your own schedule and other things going on in your life. The video lectures vary in length (e.g. from 15 minutes to 45 minutes) but you can always pause them and re-watch them whenever.

Q: I am pregnant, can I do this course?

A: Yes, yin yoga is safe for pregnant people - however I encourage you to consult with a healthcare provider before starting yoga, especially if you haven’t practised yoga before pregnancy. There are certain poses that need to be avoided while pregnant (e.g. spinal twists/pressure on the abdomen/backbends). The course also includes plenty of theory lessons as well as breathing exercises.

Q: What does the course platform look like and how does it all work?

A: The course platform is called “Teachable” and it’s simple and intuitive to use. Once you buy the course, you’ll create an email login and password and you will have instant access to all course materials. There is also an introduction video in the course that walks you through the Teachable platform.

Q: I haven’t done an online course before. How I can make sure I actually complete it and achieve results?

A: Once you decide to buy the course and invest in yourself, that is already a sign to yourself that you are taking your selfcare seriously and are committed to learn tools to reduce stress and anxiety. The course can be taken in bite-sized portions and you don’t need to go through it all at once but you can move at your own pace. Each module builds on each other, and there is no “right” way of doing the course - everyone is different. You’ll have access to the course material for life. No stress!

Q: How long can I be a member of the course or have access to the course materials?

A: Once you purchase the course, you’ll have lifetime access to all course materials - this includes the video tutorials, lectures, work sheets, breathing exercise tutorials, meditations and the yin yoga poses e-manual - they are yours to keep and come back to whenever you need them.
