Hello introvert yogi,

Yoga is a lot more than just stretching, having a flexible body and being able to touch your toes. It’s a practice combining physical body work with mindset practice, meditation and breathing. It’s about connecting with yourself and finding the stillness and calm that is already inside of you.

Yoga the perfect practice for highly sensitive people and introverts. We are already living our heads a lot of the time, thinking and over-analysing with constant mind chatter. Yoga provides a way to detach from our 24/7 internal analysis and overwhelm, to recharge our batteries, regain our energy by filling our own cup and find a greater sense of inner calm and balance.

As highly sensitive introverts,

introspection comes easily to us. Silence and calm surroundings are our best friends. But it can be difficult to get out of overwhelm and deal with the constantly overloaded nervous systems we generally have as highly sensitive persons.

My yoga classes are designed to bring you a sense of inner calm and full body-mind relaxation to help you recharge. There’s no gym-like atmosphere, no bright halogen lights, annoying music or overly peppy or loud yoga instruction in my yoga philosophy! I believe yoga is for everyone and all bodies, and at its very core, it’s an inner practice - a work-in, not a workout.

My name is Sini,

I’m the Introvert Yogi, a certified yoga instructor (RYT-500) and life coach for HSPs and introverts. I teach hatha, vinyasa and yin yoga with a gentle approach, and breathing exercises and meditation are my jam!

I started practising yoga at age 14 when my sister got a book about yoga for her birthday. I remember being mesmerised by the different asanas, but also by the breathing and meditation techniques and yoga philosophy. I continued my studies attending yoga classes in the small town I grew up in in Finland. Since then, although I have been moving around and living in different countries, yoga has stayed in my life.

I am based in Tbilisi, Georgia, and instruct yoga mainly online, in English and Finnish. I aim to create a calm, inviting and open atmosphere in my classes where everyone feels safe, welcome and accepted as they are.

As a highly sensitive introvert, I see the benefits yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices can bring to fellow sensitive souls. Yoga helps in calming down our nervous system, getting out of stress and overwhelm, cultivating more self-acceptance, compassion (karuna), reducing negative internal chatter while helping us feel more calm, balanced and recharged.

“Practising with Sini taught me to relax and listen to my body. I started breathing properly which has helped me in stress management. Sini taught me how to control my anxiety, relieve stress and concentrate on my body and soul. My body is more flexible and I feel healthier inside out. I learned the essence of meditation and was inspired to start meditating myself. Sini’s attitude, dedication, patience, knowledge and spirit has inspired me to start practising yoga. I learned about the true nature of yoga from Sini when I first attended her class, and fell in love with her practice. Sini’s classes are dynamic and adjusted to the trainee’s needs. She pays attention to every detail: teaches breathing, shows how to do each asana, explains the meaning behind them and allows to be creative and open. Only with Sini I found out that yoga shouldn’t hurt, that it’s not just stretching muscles and there should be any pain, but on the contrary - yoga should make you feel happy and comfortable. Thanks to Sini, yoga became an inseparable part of my life. Now I feel healthier, happier and more fulfilled. Sini listens to her students, makes the environment very friendly and brings a special vibe to her classes which ensures you enjoy this experience to the fullest.”

“I loved Sini's style of yoga. She made sure I was comfortable and checked in regularly to ask what I needed. She saw that I needed grounding and comforting, and designed classes which enabled me to feel just that. From the moment we sat together to set an intention for the class, I felt centred and safe. I appreciated how the topics from our coaching calls aligned with the focus of each yoga session, to make the experience integrative and healing. I particularly enjoyed the focus on different breathing techniques; I have incorporated these into my daily life and see a huge difference.”

“I had the great pleasure of attending yoga classes led by Sini in Tbilisi, Georgia during 2019-2020. It was a great atmosphere in the group, switching seamlessly from joking to focus. Sini’s classes helped me tremendously in a “come back” to a healthy lifestyle, both by regaining a flexibility I had not had since my youth, as well as by Sini sharing profound wisdom and inspiration toward self-improvement.”

“Attending yoga class instructed by Sini brings me to the world of calmness and relaxation. During the process I always feel that this is not something for my body only, but also for my mental relaxation. The way Sini speaks while instructs makes me so calm, helps me to turn of my brain and thoughts completely. Every new class is the new inspiration for me, full of new explorations of own body and mind. I love the way Sini instructs and deals with her trainees.”

“Sini made sure to understand my knowledge and skill of yoga before we started and always checked in with me beforehand on how I was feeling, what my preferences were and if I needed any adjustments. I enjoyed the mix of challenging dynamic yoga and more relaxed peaceful yoga that helped me to relax depending on my state of mind. I loved also learning breathing techniques that I have continued practicing at home and that helped me with mindfulness as well as other health benefits such as increasing my lung capacity. I absolutely loved that I was able to also ask Sini questions after and during the session - I never felt like I could do that during a yoga class and it was great to be able to explore a few movements and their benefits.”

1:1 yoga classes are a great way to practise yoga from the comfort of your home, at a time convenient for you, without distractions or having to haul your belongings to a yoga studio filled with other people. Or other people! :D
